Paris Trip the Catacombs

Thanks to my course I was given the opportunity to travel and explore beautiful Paris In January this year. I really enjoyed the city and found it very inspiring, charismatic and beautiful everywhere I explored. I adored the architecture of Paris, new and old, the art, boutiques, bakeries and museums, I felt surprised and inspired by something new each day.
There is so much history throughout Paris which is still being embraced and recognised through forms of fashion, advertisement, art and imagery.

Alongside eating every macaroon from corner bakeries, I tore myself away for a couple of hours to explore the deadly Catacombs of Paris. I was initially quite scared to go to the Catacombs as my peers didn't promote the place very well so I ended up feeling quite scared by the time we arrived at the Catacombs on the day. Nevertheless, I went to the Catacombs and wasn't scared at all, I actually felt quite peaceful throughout and after the experience as the atmosphere was very quiet and calm it felt almost as if I was intruding this resting place where people were laid to rest and in peace (which I was).

I am glad I took the time to experience and explore the Catacombs In Paris, now when reflecting on my ideas for this brief and also my chosen word Macabre, the Catacombs always seem to link to my ideas one way or another. It was a very inspiring place to visit and I would definitely take the time to do it again. In response to this positive and inspiring trip to the Catacombs I am going to create a couple of face charts to present make-up looks I have thought of in response to this.
